Hi everyone. This is my first time posting on SkincareAddiction - hope you guys can help me out! I've just learned that they've discontinued the Effaclar K clarifying moisturizerprobably the only acne product that has consistently worked for me over the years (besides Accurane, which I've been on twice but my acne has STILL come back after a few months).

Apply the Adapalene gel followed by the Effaclar Duo. Either way you do it make sure to moisturize and wear sunscreen, and slowly work up to using the Adapalene nightly. Use it twice a week at first and then move up to every night as your skin tolerates it. Has anyone tried the la roche-posay effaclar duo (US version)? All ive heard is that its amazing (mostly from Brits who most likely have the milder version made in France), but my skin has gone mad. I used it the night I bought it and the next morning, my skin was burning, itchy, red, and extremely dry.
I’ve only used the Effaclar Duo + and it’s a great spot/area treatment for places prone to breakouts (I use it in addition to my usual products when I feel or see a breakout coming). It’s not the most moisturizing though so if you’re more combo dry, I’d definitely add in LRP Toleriane Ultra Fluide as a good all over moisturizer.

I decided to try once I finally accepted that Cetaphil was breaking me out big time. It has a slight fragrance which I wasn’t expecting but I don’t notice anymore and it never bothered me.
